Job description

ASC Centre (South), Bangalore, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has released an Employment Notice (published in Employment News, 15-21 August 2026 issue) inviting applications for 62 civilian posts across nine trades.

Posts & Vacancies: Civilian Catering Instructor 03, Cook 01, MTS (Chowkidar) 01, Civilian Motor Driver 06, Cleaner 02, Tradesman Mate (Labour) 08, Fire Engine Driver 03, Fireman 24, Leading Fireman 14. Total 62.

Educational Qualification: Matriculation (Class 10) or equivalent as the base qualification, with trade-specific requirements (e.g., Diploma/Certificate in catering for CCI; valid driving licence and experience for drivers; proficiency in trade for others).

Age Limit: 18 to 25 years (18 to 27 years for Civilian Motor Driver); relaxation for reserved categories, Ex-servicemen and PWD as per rules.

Salary: Pay Matrix Level-1 (Rs. 18,000) for MTS/Chowkidar/Cleaner/Tradesman Mate; Level-2 (Rs. 19,900) for CCI/Cook/CMD/Fireman; Level-3 (Rs. 21,700) for FED/Leading Fireman; plus DA and allowances.

Selection Process: Skill/Physical/Practical Test (as applicable) followed by Written Test.
